Warwickshire v Kent, Twenty20, Edgbaston

Rain forces match into reserve day

Cricinfo staff

July 9, 2008

The Twenty20 quarter-final between Warwickshire and Kent at Edgbaston has been abandoned due to heavy rain and will now be played on Thursday.

Kent are the defending champions, while Warwickshire went through the group stage with just one defeat. The winners will join Essex and Middlesex who are already in Finals Day, but the fourth team won't be known for a while after the postponement for Durham's match against Yorkshire.

The hearing into Yorkshire fielding an ineligible player, Azeem Rafiq, will be heard at Old Trafford on Thursday.

The draw for Finals Day, which was due to take place after the Edgbaston quarter-final, has also been delayed pending the outcome of the disciplinary hearing.
