Gulshan Sharma is an uncomplicated batswoman.
Batting in the top order, Gulshan strokes the ball especially
well through the offside. She is comfortable against the ball
pitched short and plays the cut shot particularly well. She
was once injured by a rising delivery while playing a
mediumpacer and since then always wears a helmet while
batting. Batting with a helmet on is a rarity in Indian
women's cricket. Don't let that fool you however, Gulshan
neither fears mediumpacers nor is intimidated by them.
Although she did not enjoy a good run of form in the CricInfo
Rani Jhansi tournament earlier this year, she has been picked
to play for India. This speaks volumes of the selectors' faith
