Lucky winner of OOGLY contest

One lucky winner of the Oogly contest, who will go to Melbourne to witness the Boxing Day Test match, was selected on Monday at a function held at CricInfo India Pvt Ltd, Chennai. Oogly - The CricInfo Quiz Game was conducted by CricInfo.com, the world's leading cricket web site, for a period of two weeks from November 21 to December 4. The objective of the contest was to provide users an opportunity to participate in an exciting cricket adventure and explore the depth of entertainment on the CricInfo site. The winners were able to test their cricketing knowledge and win an opportunity to witness live Test matches and ODIs.

Oogly - The CricInfo Quiz Game was targeted at diehard cricket lovers resident in India. The quiz was structured like a virtual one-day game, where the contest was broken down to four levels i.e. the first 15 questions were like the initial overs which were the easiest to play as the field restrictions were on. Then the complexity of the questions moved up at each level with the final 10 questions being akin to the slog overs.

Badri Seshadri, COO, CricInfo Limited chose the winner for the grand prize. The grand prize is an all expenses-paid trip for two to Melbourne to watch the Boxing Day Test between Australia and West Indies between December 26 - 30.

Vidur Karani is the lucky winner who will make the exciting trip to Australia. Mihir Merchant won an AIWA stereo system worth Rs.40,000 and Sanman R.Khelkar, Divya Anujan and Nilima Puranik were the winners of AIWA systems worth Rs.20.000 each.

Apart from the grand prize, there were also other fabulous prizes like VIP class tickets to the India - Zimbabwe ODIs, AIWA stereo systems, HCL Internet connections, etc.
