Sharma leads Hong Kong into Plate final November 3, 2002 Hong Kong edged past UAE to secure a place in the Plate Final. Replying to UAE's 99-1, the hosts made 102-1. Sharma was again the star performer for the hosts, conceding just eight runs in the last over of the UAE innings, despite the batsmen attempting to go after him. He also had the satisfaction of snaring Ahmed Nadeem with his third ball, after the latter had made 14 off five balls.
