1996 World Cup Profile:

Trinidad & Tobago`s most successful fast bowler. Was the fastest West Indian to 100 wickets in Test cricket. However, the most impressive thing about Bishop, apart from his bowling is his steadfast courage in the face of disastrous misfortune - returning after 2 years of being on the sidelines (through back injury) to take 7 wickets and the "Man of the match" award in his first Test back. Since then, he has never been out of the West Indies team, and is still one of the fastest bowlers in the world today. Capable of move- ment both ways in the air, and extracting considerable bounce, Bishop could prove a deadly bowler during the World Cup.
