1996 World Cup Profile:

Has been successful as a bowler and captain for Jamaica and Gloucestershire. A tireless workhorse, he has already played two previous World Cup tournaments. He was inspirational to the team on the tour of India when Richardson was out due to illness. Is expected to be tight and lethal in this series. Regarded by many West Indians to be a better captain than Richardson, Walsh has never let the topic affect his performance, and passed 300 Test wickets during the West Indian tour of England last year.
