Corey Collymore, the West Indian fast bowler, will undergo knee surgery and is doubtful for the tour of New Zealand in February.
Collymore has a bone spur on the patella tendon of his right knee and will need at least four months to recover from the surgery, Cricket Australia's official website reported. He is expected to return when India tours the West Indies in April 2006.
Collymore took eight wickets at an average of 36.50 in the 0-3 loss against Australia. He was the pick of the West Indian bowlers, conceding just 2.70 runs per over. West Indies end their tour of Australia with a one-day match against the Prime Minister's XI on December 2.
